To encourage one of America's favorite family pastimes, anyone who pays entrance fee into a state park can fish without a fishing license and stamp when fishing from the bank, a pier or a boat on waters inside a state park. It's called "Free Fishing in State Parks."

Many parks even have loaner equipment, and special events are scheduled throughout the year.  Park entry fees and bag and size limits still apply.
